All County Open MRI is announcing the addition of an AIRIS Elite magnetic resonance (MR) imaging system. The AIRIS Elite system features a unique, award-winning, open gantry design that provides complete access from all sides for maximum patient comfort. AIRIS Elite also has advanced clinical capabilities that rival those of many high-field closed type systems.
The AIRIS Elite Open MR imaging system was acquired from Hitachi Medical Systems America, Inc. in Twinsburg , Ohio . Hitachi is the leader in Open MR using permanent magnet technology, with more than 1300 systems installed in the United States and 3000 worldwide.
Hitachi has put a great deal of emphasis on making the patient comfortable during their MR exam. The inside of the AIRIS Elite gantry is open on four sides, which minimizes anxiety and claustrophobia in most cases. This allows the patient to have a loved one or friend at their side during the exam for further reassurance. With AIRIS Elite, Hitachi combines comfort advantages with powerful digital electronics and lightning-fast workstation computer to make the procedure as quick and smooth as possible.
